ABA That Fits Your Child
There isn't one right way for ABA to fit into your child's life. Your child may benefit from full-time, comprehensive ABA, or they may need targeted support that works alongside school, activities, and time with family.
At Precision ABA, we individualize more than the goals we teach. We consider the amount and structure of therapy, the skills that matter most for your child, and how those skills need to work outside of sessions. As your child learns and their needs change, their program can change with them.
Whether your child is building foundational communication and learning skills or working on more complex goals, the question is the same: what kind of support will help your child make meaningful progress?
More Complex Skills
As your child grows, the things they need help with can change. Making and keeping friends, handling frustration, adapting when plans change, communicating what they need, getting through routines more independently, or managing tasks without constant adult support can all become important areas for growth.
At Precision ABA, we work on the skills involved in these everyday challenges, including emotional regulation, executive functioning, friendships and social relationships, flexibility, complex communication, self-advocacy, problem-solving, and independence.
These more complex skills can fall outside the focus or expertise of traditional early-intervention ABA programs. We specialize in breaking them down, figuring out what your child needs to learn, teaching intentionally, measuring whether what we're doing is working, and helping those skills become useful in real life.
When School Isn't Working
Sometimes your child can do the academic work, but getting through the school day is becoming increasingly difficult. They may be anxious about what’s coming next, lonely or struggling to connect with other kids, overwhelmed by the demands of the day, or coming home completely depleted.
For other children, behavior may be interfering with their ability to participate successfully at school, or communication, regulation, attention, adaptive skills, or independence may need more focused time and support.
When school isn’t working well enough, it may be worth reconsidering how your child spends their day and what they most need the opportunity to learn right now.
Precision can provide ABA alongside a full school schedule, as part of a combined school and ABA schedule, or more intensively for a period of time. We can help you determine whether a different balance of school, therapy, and support could make sense for your child.
